Why Whole Leaves
Most soursop tea on the shelf is crushed leaf sealed in a paper bag. You cannot see the leaf, judge its quality, or brew it twice.
We dry ours whole. A whole leaf keeps its character, releases its flavour slowly over a 10 to 15 minute steep, and can be re-steeped for a second, gentler cup. It is the difference between tea you inspect and tea you take on trust.
How to Brew
Add 5 to 8 leaves to freshly boiled water. Steep for 10 to 15 minutes, then remove the leaves.
The same leaves will brew a lighter second pot.
Brew strong, cool, and serve over ice with lemon or a little honey.
Pairs well with ginger, lemongrass or mint.
Our Sourcing Story
The soursop tree has been part of Caribbean life for generations, its leaves brewed at home long before they reached shop shelves. Ours come from growers we know in St Lucia, where the tree grows naturally and abundantly. Each batch is picked by hand, air dried and quality checked before it is packed.
We built Pardasa on one island's harvest, sea moss from its waters and soursop from its hillsides, and we would rather tell you where a leaf came from than make promises about what it will do.
Frequently Asked
How many cups will one pouch make?
Each pot uses 5 to 8 leaves, so a pouch typically makes around a dozen pots, and more if you re-steep. Brewed daily, it lasts about two weeks.
What does it taste like?
Smooth and earthy with a subtly sweet finish. Most people drink it plain or with a little honey.
Why loose whole leaves rather than tea bags?
Whole leaves keep their character, brew more than once, and let you see the quality of what you are buying.
Is it caffeine free?
Yes, completely. Many customers drink it in the evening.
Who should check before drinking it?
If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or taking prescription medication, particularly for blood pressure or blood sugar, speak with your GP or pharmacist before adding soursop leaf tea to your routine.
How should I store it?
In a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Best within 12 months.
