Sea Moss Capsules
We recommend taking 1-2 capsules per day with water. However Sea Moss capsules can also be emptied in food or smoothies. The powder inside the capsules can also be emptied and mixed with water to form Sea Moss Gel, here's the instructions.
Raw Sea Moss
Buy the raw form requires preparation but is easily the best value for money, here's how you make the gel.
1) Wash the Sea Moss thoroughly, we recommend washing at least three times to remove excess sea salt and other ocean elements.
2) Soak the Sea Moss in the best quality water you have available (avoid tap). Add a few slices of lemon to neutralise the sea smell. Soak for a minimum of 12 hours.
3) Afterwards you will see the Sea Moss has expanded in size and become translucent. Put the Sea Moss in a high powered blender with the same water used to soak the Sea Moss and blend until a thick smooth paste. We recommend you cover the height of the Sea Moss in the blender with water.
4) Pour into a glass jar and leave in the fridge to solidify (should take a couple hours)
5) Add Sea Moss to your smoothies, porridge or simply have 1-2 spoons a day
💛 Our classic Golden blend is a great gel for first-timers. Using sun-dried Sea Moss which is almost tasteless. It contains 92 of 102 minerals needed for the body to thrive, as well as a long list of benefits that range from immunity support, inflammation reduction, weight loss support, plus much more.
🤎 Our Chaga infusion is a powerful combination, offering incredible immune support and adaptogenic properties. Chaga brings balance to the body, improves cognition and is high in antioxidants. Sea Moss compliments with its mucus expelling ability and high mineral content. A great blend for those keen in harnessing the adaptogenic benefits of Chaga, king of medicinal mushrooms. Also giving the Sea Moss gel a subtle earthy flavour that is great tasting and by no surprise, is our best seller.
💜 Our purple blend is made using Sea Moss harvested in deeper waters and shade-dried, ensuring it retains all of the phytonutrients (the vitamins present in pigments). A slightly stronger sea tase, but a stronger force to fight those free radicals!
Sea Moss gel and Sea Moss capsules both offer health benefits, but their forms cater to different needs and preferences.
Sea Moss gel is a practical way to enhance smoothies and shakes with nutrients like vitamin C, essential minerals, antioxidants, omega 3, and essential amino acids. Its gloopy texture is due to mucilage, a soluble fiber that swells in water and acts as a prebiotic, feeding beneficial gut bacteria. This fiber can help balance gut microbes, alleviate constipation and mild diarrhea, and delay glucose absorption, preventing blood sugar spikes. The gel also contains phytochemicals like flavonoids and triterpenoids, which have antioxidant and antidiabetic properties when mixed with water.
Sea Moss capsules, on the other hand, offer a higher potency of minerals and other nutrients, making them particularly beneficial for those with mineral deficiencies. They are also more convenient, requiring no preparation, and have a longer shelf life (up to 12 months) compared to the gel.
In summary, if you're interested in the benefits of mucilage and don't mind the preparation, the gel might be a good option. If you prefer a more convenient, higher dose of nutrients, the capsules could be the best choice.
Yes all of our products, including Sea Moss products are vegan.
